Hosted by the Center for Health & Science Communication
To realize the full impact of academic research, it must reach those who can translate it into real-world action. Policymakers and other stakeholders comprise a critical but often forgotten research audience. Communicating your research to them requires a different approach, whether communicating verbally or in writing. In this talk, learn the basic principles for effective communication with policymakers and other stakeholders, including how to advocate in person, write for the popular press, and tailor your academic publications for this audience.
