Assistant Professor, Philip Marotta‘s research has benefitted from grant funding and other resources from the Center for Dissemination & Implementation, and its initiative, IDDI (Infectious Disease – Dissemination and Implementation Science Initiative). In its second year, IDDI cultivates implementation science research in infectious disease to improve evidence-based prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in St. Louis and beyond.
A network survey among agencies that address cancer risk in rural Missouri and Illinois, conducted by the Brown School and School of Medicine’s Implementation Science Center for Cancer Control, was found to be useful in helping those practitioners identify gaps, plan for how to establish future relationships and strengthen collaboration.
Faculty Scholar and primary investigator, Maura Kepper and team are looking at digital tools as a means to prevent cancer in rural Missouri. The study was funded, in part, by a pilot grant from the Institute for Public Health’s Center for Dissemination and Implementation.
